The newest of the old music

Check out the Pepper Pots. This smooth band´s three singers and eight back-up musicians have the look, the sound, and the moves of Motown down pat. The intriguing thing is that they are from small towns north of Barcelona. This benchmark retro 1960s band now has more than 200 concerts under their belts and have rocked audiences from Tokyo to San Francisco, from Berlin to Paris, from Helsinki to Barcelona and Madrid.

The Pepper Pots officially presented “NOW!”, their third album, at The Apolo, the Barcelona hotspot near the hotel. The place was rocking, the band in constant progress, exploring new horizons while staying true to an “old school” sound and a kind of forgotten innocence. “NOW!” is a typical luxury multinational production from the hand of Binky Griptite who also does Amy Winehouse; it was recorded in Catalonia and Manhattan, analogically mixed in Brooklyn, and finally masterized at Trutone Mastering Labs in New York.
