The return of FC Barcelona

No more holidays. The FC Barcelona is ready to come back to the stadium. And everyone seems to have football fever after the Spanish team won the World Cup; so we cannot wait for the new season.

For a good start, FC Barcelona will play the Super Copa de España against FC Sevilla, the return match will be in the Camp Nou on August 241th. And a couple of days later, the FCB fans will enjoy with the Gamper Cup, a friendly competition between Barça and AC Milan.

A "classic" on the big screen

Hundreds of masterpieces deserve the big screen. A film capable of keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats for two hours is always a winner. On this principle the next edition of the great classic of Spanish soccer will been shown in cinemas all around the city.

FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid will be seen in HD format and Dolby sound at Kinépolis, Cinesa y Yelmo cinemas next Sunday, November 29, at 7 o´clock.

The price will be the usual week-end price of 7 -8 Euros.

FC Barcelona: the champion returns

If you are soccer fan this season will be a great one in Barcelona. Last year FC Barcelona won "el triplete": the Champions League, the Spanish League and the King’s Cup. The world´s richest club calls them “galactic all-stars”, no humility here. All around Spain people are wondering how Madrid came up with all this loot, but it is seems clear that they want to buy a championship. Or some say this just marketing by a greedy business giant which cares more about the bottom line than winning or good soccer. "Galactic superstar" Ronaldo is seen by many as a galactic pretty boy and prima donna. Already linked romantically to galactic airhead American heiress Paris Hilton he is contributing to what has been called the "Disneyfication of Real Madrid".

In any case for good soccer or sports melodrama Barcelona is the place to be. So come and see a game or two in person or at one of the many sports bars near to Hotel Principal where the atmosphere will be almost as electric. Watch up close and personal as perhaps the two strongest sides in Europe battle it out in the Spanish league and the Champions league.

The Football returns to the city

No more holidays. The FC Barcelona is ready to begin a new season, hopefully, as good as previous. For those who don't remeber, they were champions of Spain and Europe.
